What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, attends a football game between Metropolis and State College with his colleague Lois Lane. Metropolis, which had been dominant, suddenly falters in the fourth quarter, with players fumbling and failing to tackle. Their captain, Bob Harris, collapses on the field without being touched. Coach Taylor tells Clark that the whole team seems affected and that something is seriously wrong. Clark visits the coach and then Dr. Stone, who finds nothing physically wrong with Harris and takes a blood sample for examination. Harris explains that his legs grew heavy and his head began to swing before he fell. Taylor calls a team meeting, saying that a great deal depends on the season.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
