What happens
Superman, a figure who flies down from the sky, learns that a silver clipper train is heading toward danger on the West Coast line. Reporter Clark Kent works with the local police chief to catch two men who have sabotaged the tracks near San Joaquin and are trying to wreck the train. Kent sends word to his editor, Perry White, at the Daily Planet, and the story moves between the wreck site, the police office and the newspaper. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on 1940-02-23, and the transcript does not name the cast. Clark Kent is pictured as the newsman who calls in the story.
A mountain town near the West Coast Road, the San Joaquin crossing and the Canyon Lake schooner, and the offices of the Daily Planet.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
