What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, is held prisoner in a steel-walled room by the gangster known as the Wolf. The Wolf plans to wreck the Silver Clipper, a crack train of the West Coast Railroad, as it leaves Denver for Salt Lake City. Kent is bound and shackled while the Wolf and his henchmen discuss their scheme, which involves a branch line that runs through a tunnel and down into the water of Schooner Canyon Lake. The episode is a segment of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on February 21, 1940. Its lead actors are not named in the transcript, so they are not listed here.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
