What happens
Clark Kent, Batman and Robin, the crime-fighting pair who work with Superman, search for clues to a missing piece of Kryptonite, the deadly element that gave Superman his powers. Their lead is Squeely Evers, a criminal they trail through the foggy Metropolis waterfront. Disguised with ghostly white powder, Batman and Robin frighten a waiter named Tommy Niles into talking, and he reveals a contact called Patsy. The three then follow Squeely to a nightclub called the Golden Lily, where they see a woman wearing the crescent moon and star symbol. The adventures of Superman aired on radio in the 1940s, and this episode is part seven of the storyline Looking for Kryptonite, originally broadcast on December 12, 1945.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
