What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen investigate Horn House, a New England home where they suspect smugglers are using the old lighthouse and dock as a secret base. After capturing a signaling man at the lighthouse, they return to find the house dark and Louisa Horn missing, drawn into a hidden passage beneath the cellar. Kent and Jimmy search the tunnels and rooms, finding a wounded stranger on the couch and Louisa shaken. A visitor named Jasper Quimby arrives late at night, claiming he came to help a man attacked by a dog. Kent and Jimmy begin to doubt his story and wonder how he got into the locked room. Their investigation continues with more questions about the house's secrets.
