What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen, staying at the New England home of Jimmy's Aunt Louise Horn, suspect that a group of smugglers is using the house and the abandoned lighthouse nearby. After a light is seen flashing in the old tower, Kent climbs up to investigate and finds himself in a struggle with a man who breaks through a window and falls into the water below. Kent dives after him while Jimmy waits at the foot of the stairs. Later, a telephone rings with no one speaking on the other end, and Kent tries to make contact with Miss Horn.
