What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are aboard the Clara M., an old clipper ship sailing south toward Panama through fog. The crew has been frightened by a eerie whistling said to be the ghost of a seaman lost overboard. Clark traces the sound to the ship's figurehead, where he finds wooden pipes built into it that play a tune when the wind blows. The pair then overhear Barnaby questioning Pug Flanagan about a secret compartment near Jimmy's cabin, and suspect Barnaby is searching for something valuable aboard. Clark and Jimmy take a piece of oil silk from the compartment to Clark's cabin and begin cleaning it, uncovering writing on the fabric.

Listen for: The whistling sound from the figurehead, Barnaby's questioning of Pug about the secret compartment, and the discovery of writing on the oil silk.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
