What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are aboard the old clipper ship Clara M as it sails south toward Panama. Strange events have been happening on board, and the ghostly figure known as the Whistler is again heard moving about the decks. Jimmy finds a hidden stowaway living inside a wall panel in his cabin, a boy who has been hiding there since the ship left port and who has been causing trouble among the crew. After a rough struggle on deck, Jimmy and the stowaway end up in the water in heavy fog. Clark searches the ship with the crew, and the men grow increasingly frightened. The episode is a serial, and this chapter leaves the two in the sea, with the outcome not yet settled.
