What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are aboard the clipper ship Clara M, sailing through thick fog with Captain Teak Barnaby. Jimmy has been keeping something from Clark, and Clark presses him gently about it over supper. Barnaby explains that the old captain, Hawkins, once ordered the helmsman off course, out of love for the ship and his wish that she never be turned into a museum. Later, the cook Sam reports hearing a whistle outside the galley, and a roast chicken disappears. Clark and Jimmy search the deck, where a crewman is found unconscious after a stranger on the deck is glimpsed in the fog. Barnaby believes the Whistler is aboard. Jimmy goes to fetch a flashlight from his cabin, and a strange moan is heard in the dark.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
