What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen sail aboard the Clara M, the last of the old clipper ships, on a voyage around the world. At dinner in Captain Hawkins' cabin, the captain's odd crew-signing troubles come up, and Mr. Barnaby, the one-legged first mate, tells them the legend of the Whistler, a long-dead first mate said to haunt the ship. A whistling is heard in the fog on deck, and the captain is then found in the water after apparently falling overboard. Kent suspects a deliberate attempt on the captain's life and sets out to learn what is really happening aboard the ship. This is the second part of the Superman radio serial.
