What happens
Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen and Tony Sloan, Daily Planet reporters, are caught up in a mystery involving a Japanese figure known as the Dragon. Kent is captured and taken to a San Francisco house, where he finds Jimmy and Tony bound and dying from an unknown attack, with wallpaper flowers seeming to lunge at them. Kent frees them as Superman and revives them. Afterward the house explodes, and the reporters puzzle over the cause and whether the Dragon escaped. Tony then begins describing his wartime experiences in the Pacific and a strange weapon the Japanese have been testing. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with the story continuing in a later part.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
