What happens
Clark Kent searches for Jimmy Olsen and Jack Wilson, who have vanished after being pressured by the Knights of the White Carnation, a hate group. Clark suspects Jimmy's story in the Daily Planet, which falsely accuses basketball players of taking bribes, was forced on him and contains a hidden message. Editor Perry White reluctantly agrees to help, and the paper's story is pulled. Meanwhile Jimmy and Jack are held in a locked apartment, planning an escape from a henchman who has come to tie them up. The episode ends on a cliffhanger as the henchman opens the door and Jimmy throws a chair at him. The series is The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on March 13, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
