What happens
Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne investigate a series of bank robberies in which large sums of money are stolen and sent to charities with cards signed 'compliments of a friend.' In the small town of Broven, witnesses Sam and Sarah Wilkins claim the robber leaped into the air and flew away, though their accounts of his height and costume conflict. The investigation moves to Benson City, where a matron at an old people's home describes a tall masked man in a red cape who left a satchel of money at her door. The episode is an installment of the radio series The Adventures of Superman, first aired on January 31, 1946. The story ends on Kent's claim that he suspects who the robber is.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
