What happens
Horatio Horn and Lois Lane, having arrived in New Orleans, pursue Carlos, an abductor linked to the kidnapping of atomic scientist Professor Alonso Sturgeon. Carlos and his chauffeur Paolo take them to a lonely sugarcane field, where a sudden commotion frightens the pair off and Horn and Lane escape into the woods. A raccoon hunting party is heard approaching, and the two set out to find help. Later, at a New Orleans hospital, Clark Kent waits for the injured airplane pilots to revive, hoping they can reveal where Sturgeon was taken. Lane and Horn report their failed pursuit, and Horn claims to have noticed a clue about Carlos. This is the Superman radio series, first broadcast on July 15, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
