What happens
Superman tracks the abductors of Professor Sturgeon, a scientist whose secrets concern the atom bomb, to Brownsville, Texas, where a plane carrying the professor has crashed into the Gulf of Mexico. Clark Kent, the reporter, learns of the crash from the airport radio operator and flies out to find the survivors, pulling two unconscious pilots from the water and taking them to a New Orleans hospital. Meanwhile, Lois Lane and Horatio Horn arrive at New Orleans airport and learn of the crash, and Horn spots a man he identifies as Carlos, one of the abductors, leaving the terminal. The episode, from The Adventures of Superman, aired on July 12, 1946, and this part ends with Lois and Horn being taken captive by Carlos.
