What happens

Clark Kent, Lois Lane and amateur detective Horatio F. Horn look into the disappearance of atomic scientist Professor Sturgeon, whose abduction may threaten world peace. Lois and Horn drive up a stormy mountain road toward a lodge named in a coded message, while Clark, secretly Superman, checks a false Metropolis address and then returns to the professor's home. Part three of the serial ends with Superman finding Clark's wrecked car in a flooded stream, and with Lois and Horn clinging to a floating log in the rushing water. The Adventures of Superman was a radio serial from the 1940s, and this episode was first broadcast on July 4, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
