What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane visit Milo Fales, acting head of the Radium Refinery, hoping he can help them find Dr. Horace Morton, who vanished after being taken from the jail. Music Mountain is sliding toward the refinery and the nearby workers' settlement after heavy rain, and the refinery crew is hurrying to load pitch blend ore onto trucks. Fales seems more concerned with the ore than with the missing scientist. Clark grows suspicious of Fales and, listening through the telephone wires with his sensitive hearing, overhears a plan involving Morton. The episode is part of the Superman radio series and is the fifth part of this storyline. Its original air date is June 19, 1940. The lead actors are not named in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
