What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for a metropolitan paper, investigates remarkably accurate weather predictions made by meteorologist Horace Morton. His colleague Lois Lane, Morton's niece, is at the observatory when Elmer Rogers, Morton's assistant, is found shot dead during a violent storm. Kent goes for the police and, after the bank rescue, returns to find both Lois and Dr. Morton gone. Speaking with the sergeant in charge, Kent learns that a small chemical laboratory lies in the cellar and that pitch blende, a valuable source of radium, was found in Rogers' hand. The episode is the fourth part of the 1940 series The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on June 17, 1940.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
