What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter who believes war veteran Sam Robbins has been framed, confronts Governor Wheeler in the executive mansion and presses him about the planted evidence and the decision to move Robbins to Grant City. Kent learns that the governor acted under pressure from political boss George Latimer. Meanwhile, a police car carrying Robbins under the custody of two state troopers is halted at a roadblock on a dark country road by masked men with rifles, led by a man named Dean Carter, who demand the prisoner. Robbins is taken into the woods, where the armed group prepares to harm him, while Kent heads toward Grant City to seek an order to bring him back to Metropolis.
Metropolis and the state capital, a dark country road near Grant City, and a forest outside Grant City.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
