What happens
Clark Kent investigates the murder of Lippy Williams, a reporter for the Metropolis Clarion, after Williams is found shot on River Road. Kent believes Williams was involved in planting evidence against Sam Robbins, a war veteran accused of shooting his friend Joe Martin. Kent speaks with Inspector Henderson and the Clarion editor Abner Brown, piecing together Williams' final movements. Meanwhile, armed men wait on a dark country detour for a police car carrying Robbins to the county seat. This is part nine of the 1946 Adventures of Superman episode George Latimer, Crooked Political Boss, first broadcast on September 13, 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
