What happens
Superman investigates the shooting of war hero Joe Martin, which the state political boss George Latimer has pinned on Sam Robbins, Joe's friend. Robbins is being driven by state troopers toward the Grant City jail, and Latimer has urged the Metropolis Clarion to whip up public feeling against him and the veterans. Reporter Clark Kent learns that Lippy Williams, the Clarion's star reporter, linked to the gun found in Robbins's house, has been found dead on River Road. Meanwhile, a group of angry men gathers behind a barn in Lordville to waylay the police car carrying Robbins. This is part eight of the 1946 episode in the Adventures of Superman radio series.
