What happens
Superman is tracking mysterious shortwave signals linked to a drought that is ruining war veteran farmers in the Freeville area. Clark Kent, Lois Lane and the elderly telegrapher Abner Sykes are all involved in the story. Clark investigates alone atop Mount Peele, where he follows a small camouflaged plane dropping pellets into clouds. Meanwhile, two men sent by Uncle Ed Clayton approach Abner Sykes' mountain cabin, where Lois Lane is waiting. The Adventures of Superman is a radio series, and this episode aired on February 10, 1947, sponsored by Kellogg's PEP cereal. The episode ends on a cliffhanger, with Lois and Abner threatened by rifles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
