What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane investigate a drought in Freeville, where a corrupt politician, Uncle Ed Clayton, has been attacking war veterans who took homesteads in the area. Clark suspects the dry spell is not a natural freak of nature and believes the missing telegrapher, Abner Sykes, holds the key. Lois and Jerry Barton consult a county meteorologist, who insists that artificially controlling rainfall is not yet possible. Clark, now in his Superman costume, searches the countryside from the air for anything suspicious. The story is part of The Adventures of Superman, a radio serial first broadcast on February 5, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
