What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane investigate a troubled Freeville, where a strange threat has been made against Lois. They visit the hospital to question Abner Sykes, the telegrapher, who was shot but survived, apparently protected by a bulletproof vest. Sykes, a close-mouthed local, refuses to talk when prominent townsmen, including former governor Edward C. Clayton and editor Fred Leonard, arrive. Lois and Clark return to their hotel, where Lois is still determined to press on with the case, but the night ends with a violent explosion in the hotel corridor. The episode is from The Adventures of Superman radio series, originally broadcast on January 28, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
