What happens

Clark Kent, reporting as Superman's alter ego, searches for Lois Lane, the Metropolis Daily Planet reporter who vanished in Freeville after a telegram summoned her home. Local publisher Fred Leonard admits his reporter Steve Larson gave conflicting information about her train, and Kent becomes convinced her disappearance is connected to a dry spell and trouble among the veteran homesteaders of the area. Leonard explains the unrest and why the local correspondents refused to cover the drought story. Kent sets out for the Veterans Farm Project, worried that Lois may be in danger for refusing to back down. The episode is from the 1947 Adventures of Superman radio series, first broadcast on January 23, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
