What happens
Lois Lane travels to Freeville to report on an unusual drought, but soon after arriving she vanishes. Metropolis editor Perry White and reporter Clark Kent receive a series of cryptic telegrams seemingly sent by Lois, urging her to come home. Clark, in the guise of Superman, flies to Freeville and questions the telegrapher Abner Sykes, who is evasive and says Lois was last seen heading to the telegraph office. Clark then speaks with Fred Leonard of the Freeville Gazette, who insists the town's worries are only about the drought. Leonard's roving reporter Steve Larson reports that Lois has boarded an eastbound train, and Clark follows it in Superman's form to check.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
