What happens
Clark Kent and editor Perry White are held captive by Duke Renard in a frame house on the outskirts of Metropolis. Kent sends a message through Dr. Roebling's voice machine, hoping to bring the police to them. Renard and his henchmen mock the broadcast and refuse to believe it. Kent overhears a phone call revealing that Renard's gang plans to silence Henry Benson, the former city treasurer, during his transfer to the state prison. The Adventures of Superman is a radio serial, and this is part 13 of its story, broadcast on August 25, 1941. The lead actors are not named in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
