What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for a metropolitan newspaper, is jailed in connection with the shooting of Catherine Robling and refuses to clear himself, choosing to stay put because he has learned of Dr. Robling's voice machine and a prisoner named Benson. After Lois Lane visits him, Kent discovers a hidden dictograph in his cell and then escapes through a barred window. He tells editor Perry White the truth and asks for information about Benson and a racketeer named Duke. Meanwhile Duke plans a transfer of Benson to the state prison, and Dr. Robling's machine picks up the plot. The episode ends with Kent deciding to handle the transfer himself.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
