What happens
Clark Kent, a reporter for the Daily Planet, and Dr. Roebling, who has repaired his voice machine, pick up a radio broadcast by accident in which racketeers choose a man to commit a murder. When police arrive at the house, Kent is arrested. Editor Perry White confronts District Attorney Warren, angry at the arrest, and then Kent refuses to explain himself to White or the officials. Lois Lane visits Kent in his cell and he asks her to research a man named Benson and a racketeer called Duke, believing Benson is about to be killed. The episode is part nine of The Adventures of Superman, first aired on August 15, 1941.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
