What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane discover a bomb hidden in Lois's typewriter, rigged to explode when the name Deutsch is typed. Jimmy Olsen, bound and gagged in a closet, has heard the machine clattering and helps identify the danger. Clark and Lois are joined by Mr. Lewis of the Secret Service, who escorts Clark toward the naval base. Their talk turns to Dr. Deutsch's espionage activities and his old hideout, a house on a cliff. Mr. Lewis and Clark then stop there, where a caretaker reports that a car was pushed into the water near a shack down on the coast. The episode ends with Deutsch and his accomplice Hans crouched in the darkness, waiting as footsteps approach.
