What happens
Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter, and his editor Perry White search for the Vulture, a criminal who has escaped from prison. Clark tracks a lead to a shabby room at Cranell Street, where the landlady, Mrs. Gaunt, refuses to say anything about the Vulture. Meanwhile, Dr. Leander Cameron, who is terrified of snakes, is trapped in a penthouse by the Vulture, who threatens him with a box of rattlesnakes. The Vulture forces Cameron to write a letter luring his friends to the apartment, and the episode ends on this cliffhanger. The Adventures of Superman is a radio series, and this episode aired on March 22, 1943.
New York City, with the offices of the Daily Planet, a dingy underworld hangout, a boarding house on Cranell Street, and a penthouse apartment.

Listen for: The Vulture's threat to open a box of rattlesnakes in front of Dr. Cameron, and his demand that Cameron write a letter luring his friends into a trap.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
