What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen arrive at the Lost Valley Airport and are met by their old friend Tumbleweed Jones, whose oil field has been raided. Abner Cheney, president of the local bank, controls the only pipeline and railroad spur to the refinery and has organized an association that Tumbleweed refuses to join. Gunmen have shot up his three tank trucks, which were loaded and waiting to leave. Clark suggests plugging the bullet holes with wooden pegs rather than welding them, and the crew sets to work. That evening the trucks set out for the refinery by the Mesquite Canyon Road, and Buck Conners, Tumbleweed's foreman, secretly telephones a warning to confederates. The series is The Adventures of Superman, first aired on 1941-10-08.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
