What happens
Jimmy Olsen and Perry White are held captive by the Clan of the Fiery Cross after the hate group attacked Tommy Lee, a Chinese-American baseball pitcher. Perry White argues with the Grand Scorpion, Matt Riggs, who masks his face under a hood, insisting that the Clan will defend its beliefs. The captives are threatened with being tarred and feathered, and the Klansmen prepare hot tar. Meanwhile, Clark Kent and Lois Lane plan an open letter in the Daily Planet appealing to the boy who phoned Clark about the kidnapping. Chuck Riggs, who made that call, wrestles with his conscience at home while his mother talks about loyalty and courage. This is part nine of the Superman serial, with the show's regular cast presenting it.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
