What happens
Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen ride to a Unity House baseball practice, where Jimmy manages the team. Jimmy has recently made Tommy Lee the team's top pitcher over Chuck Riggs, and Chuck resents it. At practice, Chuck crowds the plate and is struck by a pitch from Tommy, and a fight breaks out. Jimmy fires Chuck from the team after he refuses to shake hands. At home, Chuck's uncle Matt Riggs learns of the incident and begins to pressure the boy, insisting that Tommy struck him on purpose. The episode ends with Matt taking Chuck to a secret meeting, leaving the boy uneasy about what his uncle has planned.
Metropolis, late afternoon, a taxi cab, the Unity House baseball field and locker room, and the Riggs home in the afternoon.
Characters: Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen, Tommy Lee, Chuck Riggs, Muggs, Matt Riggs
Listen for: Jimmy Olsen calling Tommy Lee the team's best pitcher, the fight at practice, and Matt Riggs's sinister remarks about Tommy and Jimmy at the end.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
