What happens
Clark Kent and Perry White arrive at the waterfront bungalow of private detective Candy Myers, who had phoned Kent promising a major news story. They find Candy badly beaten in his backyard and rush him to the hospital. Candy is too weak to explain much, but he hints that his injuries are tied to a subway investigation. When the two men return to his room, the detective has vanished from the hospital, and the doctor cannot account for it. The episode is part one of a serial, and the transcript ends before the mystery is resolved.
