What happens
Clark Kent, badly weakened after being trapped in a secret cellar, is rescued by Candy Myers and Jimmy Olsen at the deserted country house of Sidney, whose body lies nearby. Kent warns that Henry Miller, the Nazi Ataman, has atomic power and plans to destroy Metropolis that night. Kent recovers enough to meet Inspector Henderson and Perry White at police headquarters, where guards are posted along the canal and river. Kent says he can contact Superman, who is recovering from his injuries. As dusk falls, Miller, disguised, rides a delivery truck toward the reservoir above the city.
