What happens
The Atom Man and his ally Sidney hold Clark Kent in a secret cellar beneath Sidney's country house, weakened by kryptonite and starved for three days. Kent's pulse grows weaker as the two men argue over their plans and their fear of being discovered. Sidney, a fat man who schemes for money, keeps watch over the Atom Man, who grows restless and wants to leave the hideout. Sidney has a pistol and warns that he will shoot if the Atom Man steps out. Kent, conscious but unable to move, waits as the tension between the two men builds toward a confrontation. Superman's fate depends on what the two men do next.
