What happens

Clark Kent and Perry White of the Daily Planet are searching for Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen, who have vanished after a night at the newspaper office. Clark finds furniture moved in Lois's office and a heavy paperweight behind a drape, and he learns that the young employee Mary Hennig was in the building that evening. Perry doubts that Mary is guilty of stealing the Higgins letters, but Clark is convinced she is working with Al Vincent. Before the story can be resolved, Lois and Jimmy are taken to a tenement basement, where Mary appears and urges them to follow her. This is an episode from The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on June 4, 1946.

Listen for: Clark's deduction from the moved furniture and the paperweight, and Mary's sudden appearance in the basement

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
