What happens

Al Vincent, a crooked pawnbroker working for politician Martin Higgins, pressures young Mary Henig to recover incriminating letters held by the Daily Planet. Mary, who has gained a job at the paper through Lois Lane, lies awake worrying about the plan and what it will do to her conscience. Clark Kent and his colleagues oppose Higgins' election, and the letters are central to the campaign against him. Vincent warns Mary that she is already implicated and cannot back out. Mary then arrives early at the Daily Planet office, where she meets reporter James Olsen while the mail is delivered. The story is part six of the Adventures of Superman, a radio serial that aired in 1946.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
