What happens
Clark Kent, Lois Lane and editor Perry White are fighting the election of Martin Higgins, a corrupt politician linked to racketeers who encourage juvenile delinquency. Reporter Tony Sloan holds letters that could expose Higgins, but he is abducted before he can deliver them. Superman finds Sloan unconscious in the river and brings him to safety. Sloan explains that he tricked his captors with an empty envelope, and the thugs blame their boss, Al Vincent. Vincent sends Mary Henig, a young hoodlum also called Chicky, to get the letters' location from Lois Lane. Clark argues with Lois about whether Mary can be trusted.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
