What happens
Clark Kent and his colleagues at the Daily Planet pursue evidence that the mayoral candidate Martin Higgins is tied to gangsters, and the reporter Tony Sloane has been set to deliver it. Acting on a tip, Inspector Henderson raids the pawn shop of Al Vincent but finds nothing, and Kent realizes Sloane has vanished from the alley near the shop. Kent finds a wallet and tire tracks that point toward the river, and Superman follows the trail to the waterfront, searching the dark water for Sloane. This is the fourth part of the Superman radio serial, broadcast in 1946 and sponsored by Kellogg's Pep. The episode ends before the outcome of the search is revealed.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
