What happens
Clark Kent and Lois Lane of the Daily Planet are drawn into a scheme to recover incriminating Higgins letters. Editor Perry White wants a young girl, Mary Henig, hired at the paper after she tells a sympathetic story about her family's poverty. Lois argues for her, and White reluctantly agrees. Meanwhile, Tony Sloane has uncovered that a pawnbroker named Al Vincent runs a training ground for young thieves. Mary's reaction to Vincent's name draws the editor's attention. This is the third part of the serial The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on May 23, 1946. The episode ends on a cliffhanger.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
