What happens

Al Vincent, a crooked pawnbroker working for rival candidate Martin Higgins, sends a young girl named Mary Hennig, known as Chicky, to the Planet. The episode is part two of the 1946 Adventures of Superman broadcast, first aired May 22, 1946. The episode ends with Lois leading the girl into the office of editor Perry White.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
