What happens
Superman, disguised as reporter Clark Kent, investigates a baffling case after Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are sent off a train by a fake telegram. Lois has vanished, and telephone calls demanding $20,000 are being made in the name of Editor Perry White of the Daily Planet. Kent travels to a rooming house on South Street, where the landlady Mrs. Walsh is absent and a psychiatrist, Dr. Hendricks, insists the place has never been a boarding house. Kent becomes convinced his own memories are being questioned, and he returns to the Daily Planet, where Lois is waiting and gives her own account of events. This episode is part four of the Adventures of Superman series, first broadcast on March 6, 1942, and the story continues in the next instalment.
