What happens
Clark Kent, the mild-mannered reporter for the Daily Planet, finds himself caught in a bewildering puzzle when Lois Lane insists she has never seen him in two days, though he remembers talking to her only half an hour earlier. Kent recalls being held for ransom after vanishing from a train, and he traces the boarding house on South Street where the money was supposed to be delivered, only to find the place changed beyond recognition. As his certainty about what is real starts to crumble, he and Lois confront the strange events head on. The episode is part of The Adventures of Superman, a 1942 radio series first broadcast on March 9 of that year.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
