What happens

Clark Kent and Jimmy Olsen are sent to Walden Junction after receiving a telegram from editor Perry White, but no one meets them there, and Clark suspects the message is a fake. Lois Lane has vanished from the train, and she later phones the Daily Planet to say everything is fine and that she has uncovered a big story. Perry White prepares to pay $20,000 in cash to an unknown address on South Street as Clark waits in the office. This is the second part of the 1942 episode of The Adventures of Superman, first broadcast on March 2, 1942.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
