What happens
Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are travelling back to Metropolis on the Tri-State Limited after receiving an urgent telegram from editor Perry White. A second telegram tells Clark and Jimmy to leave the train at Walden Junction while Lois continues alone, and Clark soon realises the message is a fake. Clark and Jimmy follow the train, and when Clark reaches Lois's drawing room, the door is locked and the room is empty. Perry White denies sending either telegram. Lois then calls from an unknown location, promising to ring again the next morning, and the mystery of who sent the false telegrams deepens.
