What happens

Buzz Corry and Happy Hapgood of the Space Patrol are in their Star Drive ship when their rockets fail and they are caught in free fall. The spy Matthew Smeed, who has been working for the enemy planet of Tirana, appears nearby in a patrol ship. Corry and Happy have been probing Tirana's seventh planet for military installations and spaceships, having earlier captured several Tiranian spies who were preparing an attack on the solar system. Smeed reports to General Mognir, the head of Tirana's intelligence section, who is dissatisfied with the spy's failures and assigns him to a distant posting. The transcript breaks off during the chase that follows.

Outer space, aboard the Star Drive ship and a Tiranian patrol ship, and on the planets Tirana and Tirana VII.

Characters: Buzz Corry, Happy Hapgood, Matthew Smeed, General Mognir

Listen for: Smeed's arrival and the rocket failure, and the General's cold response to Smeed's report.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
