What happens

Commander Corey and Cadet Happy of the Space Patrol pursue Matthew Smeade, an agent from a distant solar system who is plotting an attack on the United Planets. Smeade has set up a space phone repair shop in Mercury City with fellow agent Targol, and the two are working with a criminal named Banyan on a scheme involving explosives. The Commander uses a new Space Patrol periscope to watch the shop from headquarters, and Corey and Happy go in person to confront the agents. The transcript is garbled in places, but it covers the search for Smeade, the periscope's use, and a tense standoff in the shop's back room. The series is Space Patrol, and this episode first aired on September 11, 1954.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
