What happens

Marie, a celebrated opera singer, travels into the Canadian wilderness after an escaped prisoner, her brother Jack, sends word that he needs money to flee the country. Sergeant Bruce of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police is assigned to track Jack down, and his path crosses Marie's in the frontier town of Parbonka. The two find themselves traveling together through the woods, and their relationship deepens as they journey on. This adaptation of the operetta Rose Marie is presented by the Screen Guild Players on the Lady Esther program, starring Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald, and the broadcast aired on June 23, 1947.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
